Turn the Tide returns on Saturday 23 May 2026 for its fifth year, bringing a full day of activity to Dawlish College (10am–4pm). This year’s theme, Keeping Dawlish Cool, explores how we can adapt to hotter summers in ways that are practical, creative and community-led.
Across the site, you’ll find live music, hands-on activities, interactive displays and plenty to explore. Our headline act, Sound of the Sirens, will take to the stage at 12 noon, alongside a programme of live performances throughout the day.
There’ll be lots to get involved in, from flag making workshops and creative activities to circus skills, forest school, and archery. You can explore electric bikes and vehicles, discover local organisations doing great work, and take time out in a dedicated wellbeing space.
With great food, local stalls and activities for all ages, the day is designed to be relaxed, welcoming and easy to dip in and out of - whether you stay for an hour or the whole afternoon.
We’re still building the full programme, so keep an eye on this page for updates.

Pitches
If you're a trader, pitch booking is now available for 2026 for non-catering traders.
Flag making workshop
Join the incredible Rosie Stott for two flag making workshops ahead of the festival.
A family-friendly session will take place at Dawlish Methodist Church Hall on 25 April, 1-3pm.
An adults-only ‘Sip & Sew’ evening will be held at The Good Space 7–9pm.
Using reclaimed and repurposed fabrics, these relaxed, creative sessions invite you to contribute to a collaborative flag that will be flown at Turn the Tide 2026.
