Our Green Futures part-time support officer post
We’re hiring a part-time project support officer!
We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic and engaged self-employed person to work freelance to help deliver our new Transition project and join our team working part time. This is an exciting role for a confident, competent and efficient candidate, who can shape the role over time, identifying and implementing improvements to our processes and procedures in collaboration with other members of our small Steering Group team. The post holder will be responsible for taking tasks from us and dealing with administration of Our Green Futures (running from April 2024 to March 2024). Key Skills:

Funding allocation, booking venues, and interpersonal skills.
Our Green Futures is a project funded by Transition Together and delivered by Turn the Tide Teignbridge CIC and Sustainable Dawlish. The project lasts from March 2024 until February 2025, with a final report due by 31st March 2025.
The aim of the project is to provide ideas and support to local community groups to meet the dual challenge of climate and ecology emergencies. We are contracted to deliver 10 meetings to include as wide a range of different people as possible, to both raise awareness and inspire them into taking action. We will be inviting bids to enable groups to realise their Green Futures vision.
Our funding includes up to £1200 for this post to provide financial and administrative support to work with the team on the whole project. We welcome applications from people with relevant skills who can work to deadlines and who want to work flexible hours for the duration of the project.
Duties and key responsibilities
Assist with the running and administration across the Our Green Futures project.
Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and provide interim reports to the steering group.
Respond to incoming requests for provision of information and resources, this includes leaflets, posters and other relevant documents.
Assist with booking arrangements and commission refreshments for 10 meetings.
Provide administrative support to the Facilitator/Presenter who will be responsible for conducting the meetings prior to and after each event.
Respond to incoming enquiries and direct these to the appropriate people.
Maintain up-to-date financial documents and digital systems, to record the progress of the project as appropriate to ensure information is accessible to Turn the Tide Teignbridge CIC and Sustainable Dawlish, through Google Drive.
Carry out all work in line with Data Protection regulations.
Support Green Futures community groups in making their bids and ensure the smooth running of the project.
Report to members who sit on the Our Green Futures Steering Group.
